Job Description Job title: Product Developer Location: Cambridge, UK
Summary description: Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and testing product source code, product builds and installers.
Tasks and Responsibilities: · Design*Development of new product modules for integration. · Performing product implementation and integration as required by customer and marketing demands. · Suggesting products enhancements*new product ideas. · Assisting Sales staff in a technical capacity in (potential) customer meetings. · Testing and debugging existing and newly developed code.
Minor functions: · Other ad-hoc duties as necessary for supporting the rollout and successful implementation of the products.
Supervised by: Director of Technology
Supervise: Depending on experience developers will quickly be responsible for the co-ordination of small teams of less experienced developers and running entire product and project developments.
Qualifications: Good first class or 2.1 degree in numerate*analytical degree subject. Good A levels, with grades no lower than ‘A`s and ‘B`s.
Skill requirements: · Fast learner and self motivated · Programming experience · Ability to communicate with colleagues and customers · Broad knowledge of technologies an advantage · Commercial awareness
Core Technical Skills (not required but desired): · C*C++ programming (Visual C++, MFC, SUN Pro C, GCC etc.) · Internet programming (NSAPI*ISAPI*CGI, JavaScript, JAVA, HTTP, SMTP, POP3) · JAVA · Cross platform (NT, 95,98,2000, UNIX – AIX, Solaris, HPUX) · Experience of ODBC, SQL, Notes, Exchange · Client*Server Communications application development · Scripting (PERL, SHELL)
Experience: Experience in computer industry is a definite advantage.

Salary range: £25+
Work hours: 9:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with the occasional need to work evenings and weekends.
Annual leave entitlement: 23 days
